We just installed a titanium turbo back exhaust on our Project i8 and it is now one loud Hybrid!
In addition to the added driving enjoyment thanks to the added sound, the Arqray Titanium Exhaust is 50% lighter than the stock exhaust, with the new titanium exhaust weighing in at just 18.0 lbs.
Enjoy.

Why go four when a three sounds so much better...

These new German Turbos all sound like they are farting when they shift.
I heard a Macan launch right next to me, and I had to laugh as that one sounded wet, like a big Deutsch shart.
Granted, it launched pretty damn fast, so all those farts must be helping something.

Its not a direct result of being turbocharged, its the dual clutch transmissions and how the engine is dealing with the split second back pressure increase on the intake side when the throttle will close for the shift. Lots of cars sound like this (and terrible in my opinion) but the common factor is the DCT’s not forced induction.

Yeah, for sure the trans is making the ‘FART’ but the turbos are giving these cars exhaust such bass-y timbres... like you know... a fart.
